Garlic & Chilli Edamame

  1. Bring a small pot of well-salted water to the boil.
  2. Add 150 grams Frozen edamame in pod and cook for 3 minutes until heated through and tender.
  3. Drain the edamame and set aside. Leave them slightly damp — the moisture helps the seasoning stick.
  4. Heat neutral oil in a small pan over medium-high heat.
  5. Add garlic and chilli flakes and stir for about 1m 30s until fragrant — don't let the garlic brown.
  6. Add the drained edamame and toss to coat for 1-2 minutes.
  7. Remove from heat. Add sea salt and a small splash of soy sauce (optional finish) if using. Toss once more and serve immediately in a bowl. Eat by popping the beans out of the pod.
