Ingredients
- 113 grams Butter
- 11⁄2 tablespoon Plain Flour
- 340 grams Double Cream
- 100 grams Parmesan Cheese
- Salt (to taste)
- 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
- 1 tablespoon Garlic Powder
- 1 teaspoon Italian Seasoning
- 250 grams Fresh Pasta
- Parsley (fresh; to taste)
Steps
Good, but so rich!
- In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Sprinkle flour over the butter mixture and whisk to combine. Cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly.
- Alongside the next step, start cooking the pasta until al dente, and reserve pasta water.
- Gradually pour in the double cream, whisking continuously to prevent lumps. Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for 2-3 minutes or until slightly thickened.
- Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Season with salt, black pepper, garlic powder and Italian seasoning.
- Add the cooked pasta to the saucepan and toss to combine, adding reserved pasta water if needed to achieve a creamy consistency. Stir in freshly minced parsley and serve hot.
